Multilateral relationship: Meeting between H.E. Mr. Yacouba CISSE and Dr. Robert FLOYD Executive Secretary of CTBTO

This Wednesday, February 5, 2025, as a prelude to his effective taking up of office as the Chairman of the CTBTO Preparatory Commission, H.E. Mr. Cissé Yacouba and his team met with the Executive Secretary of CTBTO Dr. Robert FLOYD and his staff at the organization's Headquarters in Vienna.
The brand new Chairman of the Preparatory Commission was able to immerse himself in the realities of the organization and was also informed of the actions and activities currently being carried out by CTBTO.
The discussions also focused on Article 14 relating to the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
In addition, Excellency CISSE and DR. FLOYD reviewed issues related to the organization of the 64th session of CTBTO and preparations for the organization of the 30th anniversary of the organization.
The meeting ended with a visit to the CTBTO premises and the installation of the President of the Preparatory Commission in his new office.
